Its crazy how a rainy day can set the mood and create the perfect ambiance. I pulled this old vintage dress out of my closet and decided to give it some camera time. I purchased this NO LABEL dress some time ago at a vintage store and never got around to wearing it. I wasn't completely happy with the proportions of the sleeves so i decided to braid one shoulder to better suit my frame...some how it took on sort of a grecian inspired feel.  The Details:

I've been longing to photograph this PRADA dress that I purchased sometime last year at the outlet store. Prada's spring 2011 (Minimal Baroque) collection took on such a fresh and daring vibe. This collection from Prada goes down in the history books as one of my all-time favorite colloborations.I think my favoritisim has to do with the strong influences channeling Josephine Baker. I also can't get enough of the fun-quirky cartoonish prints, and of course the finger waved hair pretty much set the tone for the entire collection.

Currently vibing out to the great sounds of Tribe as I write this post. The low end theory is one of my earlist memories of hip-hop before it commited comercial suicide... My oldest brother put me on to them growing up and I've been hooked ever since.

Due to the warm weather we've been experiencing in Texas,I finally had the opportunnity to dig a little furthur in my closet and finally debut these crazy jeans that I got at Saks off fifth a few months ago.I love everything about these Marc by Marc Jacob jeans. I feel like they embody sort of a 90s hip-hop, new area steez.The quirky abstract details and the added African-inspired print make for the perfect combination.These days I'm such a sucker for anything that's slightly reminesent of Africa.

LATIN SUBTEXT

This shirt is what I call my conversation piece. It gets the most attention when I'm out in about...Complete strangers approach me randomly conversing about the Latin subtext written on my shirt. I scouted this vintage Escada top at Too Good Too Be Threw, a consignment shop that my mom put me on to about a year ago... The Latin wording on my shirt "Veni, Vidi, Vici" (I came, I saw, I conquered)is a famous Latin sentence written by Julius Ceasar. As of late I've been into easy seperates and baggy pants...sort of a boyish mood I guess. I've also been wearing my Etro shoes with everything in my closet.I can't help but keep these bad boys in steady rotation!!!

 -Tupac   Being that Valentines day is just around the corner, I felt it was necessary to bring out this quirky-vintage (f/08) Comme des Garcons dress that I scored on ebay. At such an amazing price I couldn't afford to pass it up.The lace detail in the mid section is perfection. .

KENZO X ETRO

Sometimes the best outfit combinations are the ones that you naturally grab when getting dressed in the morning.... requires very little effort and just seems sensible. I just ordered these Kenzo pants on 'killer' sale at Nordstrom. I've been obsessed since they made their way down the runway.The abstract print and the diamond shapes make for the perfect pattern mixing. Wearing a thrifted sweatshirt, new Etro pumps from the Outnet, and my beloved MMM for H&M candy wrapper clutch.

For some odd reason it’s like natural instinct for me to wear dark colors when winter comes around. I've been on a quest to find the prefect white leather jacket to break up the monotony... To my surprise I found it tucked away in my messy closet. I purchased this jacket almost a year ago and between moving I completely forgot of its existence...Believe it or not I found this vintage Jean-Claude Jitrois leather jacket at the thrift store for under $60. The structure and fit of this jacket is so insane!! It kind of reminds me of a football players uniform, or a costume Michael Jackson or Prince would of performed in back in the 80's.
